Face to Face Practical Update Session

Work areas that involve manual tasks such as:

  • Awkward or repetitive movements
  • Heavier or frequent lifting or carrying
  • Sustained holding or carrying
  • Moving or assisting patients

Some example work areas include (not an exhaustive list):

  • Allied Health workers and assistants that complete patient transfers
  • Cleaners and ward assistants
  • Kitchen workers
  • Medical records workers
  • Nurses and carers (clinical workers)
  • Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists (clinical workers)
  • Radiographers
  • Sterilisation workers
  • Stores and warehouse workers

A certificate can also be printed after you have completed the self declaration or a Manual Tasks Local Facilitator has signed you off.
