Intended audience
This course is intended for multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical staff who are required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) during their work activities.
The online learning package focuses on the safe use of PPE, including the putting on and removal of PPE used routinely for the majority of infectious diseases and chemicals often encountered. It does not cover the additional layers of PPE required in diseases rarely found in Australia e.g. SARS, viral haemorrhagic fevers (VHF) such as Ebola.
Course prerequisite
Successful completion of the annual hand hygiene accreditation for your organisation is a prerequisite for this course.
