This course has been designed to provide staff with education about significant changes to Infusion Therapy orders and tasks in Sunrise EMR & PAS in preparation for new functionality being released in mid February 2020.

It is mandatory for currently Sunrise-ready Nurses and Midwives who manage and document infusion of fluids and electrolytes.

The course is available for self-enrolment - please provide evidence of completion to your Manager.

Duration of course: up to 60 minutes (this allows some time for practise).

Sunrise Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a course which informs participants of their role in the event of downtime.

Audience: Clinical and administrative staff who access the patient record.

Format: It consists of a lesson and an assessment activity.

Duration: 30 minutes

The Sunrise Clinical Application Introduction eLearning course is the foundation course for all staff using Sunrise Electronic Medical Record (EMR) & Patient Administration System (PAS).

The course consists of a self directed module of five (5) lessons, which introduce the user to the Sunrise Clinical Application. There is 1 assessment activity to complete.

Duration: approx. 1 hour

This course informs participants about the statewide database/search engine used in the EMR to search for and collect patient demographics.

Audience: Mandatory for administrative staff who register patients and/or update patient demographics.

Format: Self-directed eLearning module consisting of 2 lessons and an assessment.

Duration: approximately 30 minutes

The Sunrise Record Manager eLearning course will introduce participants to the applications used by Medical Records staff.

Audience: Mandatory for Medical Records staff.

Format: Self-directed eLearning module consisting of 2 lessons and an assessment.

Duration: approximately 30 minutes

Assessments to determine if there are any Sunrise knowledge gaps which will impact staff safely performing their role. 

Includes process documents and resources for further training.

Target audience: Staff returning to work after a 6 month absence

An enrolment key is required. This will be provided by EMR Training team after a training request is lodged.

An introduction to patient registration.

Audience: Ward clerks / Admission clerks

Format: Self directed eLearning module including 1 lesson, and 1 assessment

Duration: approximately 30 minutes

The Sunrise Scheduling course will provide administrative and clinical staff with the knowledge to book and manage outpatient appointments in Sunrise.

Audience: This is a mandatory eLearning course for outpatient clerks, allied health clerks and allied health clinicians.

It is also recommended for specialist nurses.

Duration: approximately 1 hour
