Team MET is a one day multi-disciplinary interactive workshop which aims to develop skills in effective team management of medical emergency responses. This workshop is suitable for medical and nursing Medical Emergency Team members as well as staff in clinical units and ward areas who activate or are involved in MET calls.

Participants are selected by their NUM to attend. If you would like to attend this workshop, please speak to your NUM to register your interest.

This is designed for any RN, EN or RM working is acute areas who care for patients with related respiratory conditions e.g. Lung Cancer or Invasive Respiratory Procedures. Completion of the Acute Respiratory Module 1 or equivalent education is encouraged before completing this module.

This course will upgrade assessors to be able to assess staff in Basic Life Support (BLS).

This 2 day program aims to increase your knowledge and clinical skills in the management of stroke patients. A multidisciplinary approach involving clinical experts in stroke management will explore the stroke patient's journey.

This course is suitable for Registered and Enrolled Nurses and Allied Health staff and is offered to employees in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and other SA Health organisations.

Flinders Medical Centre has a Comprehensive Stroke Unit and a dedicated team to manage acute stroke patients. The Code Stroke presentation provides information on the criteria and process around activating a Code Stroke.

Target audience: Nurses and Midwives at Flinders Medical Centre

This 1 day workshop is a contemporary look at current diabetes information and practices with a strong focus on clinical relevancy. The aim of the workshop is to update and increase your knowledge and clinical skills in diabetes management. Topics will be delivered by a variety of speakers and will include pathophysiology, medications - both injectable and oral, dietary recommendations and complications.

This workshop is available to staff across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and suitable for diabetes resource nurses and interested registered and enrolled nurses and midwives.
