Introduction to Radiation Oncology Modules

The Introduction to radiation oncology modules are evidence based online modules that support information needs of health care professionals new to radiation oncology. The modules focus on assessment, education and supportive care management of patients receiving radiation therapy.

Target audience: nurses, and allied health professionals.

Content includes:

  •  Allocated hours: 1 hours (1 hour = 1 CPD point)

Module 2: Patient experience: head and neck cancer

Target audience: nurses, radiation therapists, allied health professionals.

Content includes:

  •  Allocated hours: 1 hours (1 hour = 1 CPD point)

Nurses and allied health professionals are required to complete Module 1 - Overview of radiation therapy prior to this module. An enrollment key is provided on the certificate of completion that will enable self-enrollment in subsequent modules.

Radiation therapists are automatically granted RPL (recognition of prior learning) for Module 1 - Overview of radiation therapy. Please contact sandra.ridings@health.sa.gov.au for an enrollment key.
